invidia downpipe....
anyone like it? ive read up on it and sounds good. heres some info i got.
"All new downpipe from Invidia is the power producing downpipe you need. Stainless with a large bellmouth will ensure longevity while enhancing power by freeing wastegate gaskets. 3" mandrel bent and bolts up to any catback or stock unit."
i need a downpipe, is this one good? if not, whats a good one to get?

Invidia downpipe works glories for me! Have it installed with a blitz catback and it roars like a boxter engine should. And you can definitly notice hp gains. Its exactly like the helix and the cheapest price I seen was at Gruppe-s.com check them out!
i just installed this dp 2 weeks ago, and so far i am lovin it... the sound got more aggressive, i can hear more stuff (like turbo spinning) i didn't turn on my radio for a while because i wanted to hear the car hahaha... helix is the copy of this dp? or cusco? bah i forgot... but i think it should give you the same gain anyways.. invidia has the bong for wideband o2 sensor already. if you want, give mike a call or goto their forum or website (or www.mpjperformance.com) and he'll cut you a good deal (he always has the best price i've seen along with gruppe-s). you will luv it. btw there is a problem with fitment if you use kartboy hangers for your exhaust, i had to prey down the downpipe hanger so the pipe doesn't hit the crossmember... but if you don't use kartboy hanger it should bolt right up. enjoy~~

I posted 4 pictures there. The pipe is really shiny, too bad it will never get seen. Very nice quality welds and bends.

RS*R products are awesome for fit, quality, finish, and performance. I'd assume this one to be no different. Gruppe-S does have good prices, so does this guy:

i got the invidia downpipe w/hks hipower exhaust. i love it. am i the only one that got the cel from this downpipe. also, maybe its the install, but mine rubs on something underneath. i had to heat wrap that part so as not to scratch it. got a little dent on it because of that.

Its not the downpipe that gives you the CEl, its the fact that there is no change in what the O2 sensor reads from the first O2 to the second O2. As far as I know when you throw a CEL, the ECU retards the timing by 5 degrees, therefore you run rich, and carbon deposits build up on the pistons. Those carbon deposits dont like high compression (or high boost). They hold in heat, and u get detonation. Please by all means correct me if im wrong.

Sorry I had to do it, you have a BOXER motor not a boxter.
