I don't want to break it?

Once up to temp, I try to keep it above 3k.

Along with the notion that load at low RPMs is what's getting the ringlands, I also noticed that it will pull timing when loaded up at low RPMs as well.

Easy solution, keep it above 3.


I also had to rev the dick out of the NA to get anywhere. It doesn't feel weird to me to rev the dick out of the WRX. It just goes a ****load faster.

I was in third most of the way.. Then again I don't take any roads that exceed 45mph. Its actually rather boring.. My car barely heats up enough before Im already at work.

That's silly. The real solution is a proper tune. The other really important thing is not road racing the car very often on an off the shelf cobb map. You're likely putting 500% more stress on it then, vs wasting gas on the highway spinning it high
