Unhappy Downpipe Question

i just installed my helix downpipe and for some reason it is touching the tanny mount. i dont know if its because i installed it wrong or something, has anyone else had this problem.

Also im not too sure but i hear something on the bottom hitting against something which makes a loud noise not sure if its the dp hitting the tranny or my exhaust hitting the side panels on the bottom.

And one more thing, and smell of something buring comes from my engine bay after about 10 mins of driving, could it be cuz i dont have the heat shield? or maybe something is wrong.

Any feedback would be great.

Did you use PBSpray or WD-40 prior to taking off the DP bolts? If so, the burning smell could be from the residue burning off.

I don't know how you could have installed the DP wrong since the flange will only allow it to go in one way. That being said, it shouldn't hit the tranny mount. Can you provide some pics?

fixed the downpipe doesnt rub up against the tranny mount anymore, and what was burning was the ac hose touching the downpipe, so i just moved it to the side. but it burnt a whole in the hose.

What did you do to fix the rubbing problem?

i held the downpipe away from the tranny mount, while my friend tighten the bolt, so its barley not rubbing. so its not tapping it anymore which would making that annoy noise.

Soren from mpj told me about holding it away from the tranny mount.

was it a new helix DP? the old version 1s were supposedly made too close for the 6-speeds so all the V2+ were made a bit further out, Ive had 2 helix DPs on my car with no fit probs...
