10/30 drive route choices
In the spirirt of our upcoming national elections, here's your chance to vote again on the upcoming Sac drive.
Option 1:
Our old friend Mosquito Ridge. It has been a couple of years since we went out there. There was increased po-po prescence out there about a year ago, but I have no idea if it has died down now or not.
We can go out Salmon Falls to HWY49 to Old Foresthill Road to Foresthill Road to Mosquito Ridge and then back again.

Option 2:
Wentworth Springs / Icehouse. I love this loop, but there is the off chance that they got snow up there already. The route would be Salmon Falls to HWY49 to HWY193 to Wentworth via Georgetown.

Option 3:
Alan presented this idea. Roads should be clear and it would be nice to do something different. It looks like we would just head out Prairie City Road out of Folsom. We can creat some sort of loop on the way back.

Option 4:
Alan and Lance did this last year and said it was fun. It's a jaunt out towards Nevada City and Downieville. Other than the map, I have no idea what it is like.

We could combine them as well.
If anyone has any other suggestions, post them up and I can edit the poll.
No matter what we choose, I would suggest leaving from the parking lot next to the 76 at Greenback & Auburn-Folsom Road. Time is TBD per the other poll. Date is 10/30/04.
Let me reiterate that this is a casual drive for fun. Everyone should drive at their own pace and comfort level. If the leaders are faster, they will wait up at major junctions. We might want to consider packing lunches and having a little picnic at our turnaround point. I will bring two Motorola FRS radios - if anyone else has some, please bring them.

I also made the voters visible (click on the number of votes on the right) so that wwe can weed out the trolls (RussB) who vote but aren't actually coming on the drive!

I don't care which route we take provided it isn't an all day thing. We need to be home by 4 or so at the latest so Josey can get ready for work. I'll probably be working that night too.
