Hey suspension smart folks, riddle me this:

What are the advantages of maximum positive caster in a 2008 sti?

I know very little about suspension tuning, the 2 things related to caster being 1) wheels self-center better and car tracks more stable as a result 2) camber gain? mid corner giving more neg camber and therefore more contact patch aka grip

Am I missing anything? Is any of the above wrong? Learn me bout caster things and stuffs

Woke up an hour before my alarm went off with an upset stomach, called in sick. Still in bed, and watching curling.

Just as you stated: with the vertical axis of rotation trailing the tire contact point (positive caster angle), the car is more stable at speed because the steering will "self center" as to reduce the rolling resistance on the tires (steering will be "pulled" back to center); an additional effect of this is the reduction or minimization of steering input needed into, through, and out of a corner.
