WOW! So I stopped trolling bcs Jourdan was hoiting my feelings but damn that kid is dumb. I'm not sure I believe the guy but if someone really bought those seats, America is truly going though a brain drain.
I bought a Valentine one from him "In perfect condition" He asked 300 on the forum, got to his house the price was 350, I talked him back down but it did NOT have a power adapter of any kind and is scratched on the sensors. The scratching isn't severe enough that I'm worried but I'm a little disappointed I didn't just spend the extra 100 and get one in perfect condition.
He's now bugging me to give him a positive rating

Edit: I would've gone back and returned it but I was late for an appointment and wasn't looking forward to going back to his house to hear more cool stories that will earn him a spot in The Fast and FuriousEST episode 5

I talked him down to the original price. I drove to ****ing Los Gatos (where he lives, I am living in Yuba City & Napa), if I didn't buy it I would want to shoot myself in the head. It was a lose/lose situation for me. He also told me that radio shack sold a power adapter for it so I was like "whatever, at least the drive home I'll have a detector in hand". But in fact Radioshack does not sell anything that works with a Valentine one because the Valentine one is powered Via an RJ11 cable (phone line) using unique voltages.
2 critical errors when making the sale which indicates really bad business practices.. i don't understand the logic of him asking for MORE when he disclosed a missing part upon your arrival, that's just really backwards thinking.. and from the way he speaks, he obviously doesn't seem very educated
hope you get that part for the radar detector though.. try amazon if you haven't
His sister's car had a Valentine one and I had him open up her car and test it. It seemed fine and all the functions seemed to be working. If it's not, maybe we can have a south bay meet at his house :V
It's a 10 Dollar part from Valentine One with free shipping, so it's pretty much a nonissue. Repairing the Scratches on the sensors should be a matter of resurfacing the plexiglass which shouldn't be a big deal either. I'll try polishing them first and see what happens.
