Eric was involved in a car accident involving 2 cars and a pickup truck. He was on his way to a convention for work in Utah and his car blew a flat tire. He was carrying his coworkers in his car with him. At the time, he was being followed by the minivan which caravaned his other coworkers inside. The two cars pulled over to the side of the road to change to a spare tire. Eric and his coworker was pulling out the spare tire and right after they had pulled out the tire, the minivan which was parked behind eric's car got struck from behind by a man in a pickup truck who had fallen asleep behind the wheel. The minivan then crushed eric and his coworker inbetween his subaru and the minivan. Unfortunately there was one death and the rest was injured.

SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - One person was killed and 11 were injured Monday when a pickup truck slammed into two vehicles that were
parked along Interstate 80 to change a flat tire, authorities said.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. near the Victoria Avenue interchange. East bound lanes were closed for about three hours.

Investigators said a blue Subaru and white Chrysler minivan had pulled over to change a flat tire on the Subaru, which was parked partially on the shoulder and partially in the slow travel lane of the freeway.

The minivan was parked behind it in the slow travel lane when it was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck, the Nevada Highway Patrol said. The impact pushed the minivan into the Subaru and two men who were changing the tire.

One of the men died after being take to a hospital, the patrol said.

Eleven others were taken to hospitals for injuries ranging from minor to serious, authorities said.

The driver of the pickup was not injured, the patrol said.

Names of those involved were not immediately released.

I just back in the bay now. I'm doing fine, just have hella bruises and stitches on my face. I still can not believe I'm still standing (sort of with crutches) after getting my legs smashed up between my rear bumper and the van. No broken bones which is good. as for pulling over, there was little to no space off to the side and we couldn't see much up ahead to pull off to. Tried to work as fast as I could, but unfortunately this had to happen. I know I'll be hurting the next couple of days time to finish eating/drinking
