Question OK, we have seen the real 2008 STI...

So, the simple question is this. Would you pony up the $$$ for a 2008 if it was this very circulated 'projection' of what the 2008 'could' look like?

Or, what is DOES look like.

Don't panic, it's a simple 'multiple choice' test and you can't fail!

#1 ~ The hope!
#2 ~ The reality.

Most definitely the rendering!!! I hope they don't Americanize its looks and tone it down like the hatch civic si vs. the US Si. Subaru, or should I say Toyota, has toned down a race car for the masses; in essence for people who can't distinguish between displacement and torque, but damn it that car looks cool. Anyone think they will keep the car as low as all the pre pictures have been showing us?

I think with a new front bumper, new grill, some larger fog lights. New tail lights. The new one would look WAY better.

But I don't think I'd buy it based on the exterior looks. It's be more about performance and interior comfort and versitility. If the numbers are what they're saying they'll be this thing could be pretty sick. If they drop another one at 300/300 they can count on this not selling to well in the U.S.

Too many cars with that 350-450 hp in the same price range.

I'd buy the real thing. Rendering looks like a toy car.

I'm seriously considering buying the real thing. I'm just about ready to move out from my 02 WRX, and am ready to step up to the STI. The only sticking point for me is that it needs to come with more than 300bhp.

Just get a bugeye

I personaly think this one is going to be way beter than all the last. mostly because of the body it is just a way beter platform than the GC8 and GDB. the only reason subaru went with this is to try and keep up with ford and REN. in the WRC. so if they think it is beter I am behind it all the wat. STi and prodrive FTW (they know there ****)

100% Agree.

The rendering looks pretty good for a concept, but in reality I'd much rather drive the one Subaru came up with.
