Thunderhill Track Day 02/26/07

T.E.A.M Racing are organizing another track day @ Thunderhill on the 26th of February. Check out http://home.onemain.com/~bonster/schedule.html for more details. As you can see from http://home.onemain.com/~bonster/driverlist.html, not a lot of drivers have signed up so far - a great opportunity for a lot of track time. I have attended some of their previous events and they are organized very well with plenty of instructors to jump in students' cars and help them improve their driving and tracking experience.

Contact Bonni (bonni@weatherwax.net) for more more details. She (handle Bonster) also lurks this forum as well.

I will be there with my Lotus.

Only 23 signed up drivers so far -- plenty of track time for people that do sign up!

Yeah, if we don't get more, we'll have to go to two run groups I guess. Right now I'm in the hole $4000 on this one, so hopefully more will sign up. Or maybe we'll just ask (beg!) those signed up to chip in a few more bucks so we can just have the track to ourselves. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get more drivers soon!

I'd go but my car is just not track ready yet.

***Subies are ready for the track right out of the box. All you really need is to make sure you have decent tires and brake pads and you're set. Subarus are one of the most fun cars to drive, even if they're bone stock.

I don't have tires, I don't have brakes, I have a bone stock suspension, and only 130 horsepower. I'm gonna wait a while before I go play with that car.

Yeah, I am still waiting on my brakes to come in, too. Cobalt has some new fancy compound this year that they are pretty proud of. And now I will have a visitor in town for two weeks, so even if the pads do come in, I likely won't have time to work on the car. So I'll just get to watch you guys have fun (AGAIN). Ah, well. I've got lots of work to do anyway.
