Technically no, but I haven't been hassled for it. I was given a lot of grief for not having a plate at all, but this seems to be fine. And I know it works because I got caught by the photo radar van in my city. As long as the cops can still identify my car from the front, I think it's fine.

The front grill, bumper, mirrors, and the A, B, and C pillars were painted body color
Mine is on the right in comparison to what one looks like not painted

this is my first post. this is my 2007 CGM WRX. Mods are prodrive springs, spt intake, spt exhaust, factory installed short shifter, tinted windows 35%, v-limited replica front lip, rock blocker headlight and fog light film, painted emblems front and back
