impreza_wrx09 03-07-2004 11:54 AM

Where is that tube or pipe from the bov running to? never seen that before.

WRX-ARG 03-07-2004 12:20 PM

it is not an atmospheric bov...i guess that pipe is the recirculation pipe.....

it works just fine, and in the manuals (japanese) it was like that.

so? what's your point? every subaru here in argentina are jdms and have the wheel convertion, of course.

DriftinS14 03-28-2004 06:07 PM

my point was that the steering wheel is on the left hand side and in the JDM cars are RHD. I didnt think that was too hard to understand.

i understood u perfectly....u are the one who dont understand or believe that my scooby is a JDM....

eastbaysubaru 03-29-2004 08:53 AM

I really like the larger fogs on the facelifted WRX. The fogs on the USDM cars are now much smaller :(

-Brian

Nick Koan 03-29-2004 10:31 AM

Damn, the wheels are gorgeous. The foglights rule. The side markers are sick.

Why don't we get that stuff....

OneManArmy 03-29-2004 02:41 PM

What does everyone get the cool stuff and we get the one offs. I want an STI wagon. Or I at least want the common equipment on JDM/UK models.

Headlights. Bigger fog lights. sun roof. Etc.

Mostly I just want JDM headlights for my wagon. White wagon. Tinted windows...headlights would look sick.

If you understood me perfectly then why did you ask me what my point was? My point was clear, I thought it was atleast. That is that if its a JDM car why is the steering wheel on the left hand side. A civil response might have been "argentine cars are JDM cars that are converted to LHD".

Now are all argentine cars JDM cars that are converted to LHD by argentine dealers? or are they produced LHD? Or is just YOURS converted? If all argentine cars are LHD then that would make them ADM not JDM. The Japanese Domestic Market requires RHD, not LHD which your car is.

My subbie like any other subbie of Argentina came from Japan...and they are corverted in Japan too.

DriftinS14 03-30-2004 12:42 PM

Are they converted? Or manufactured LHD? I find it hard to believe that at the factory they would build it RHD simply to just turn right around and pull it apart and build it LHD. That would make your car an Argentine Domestic Market car. Not JDM.

do you think that just the wheel conversion makes a car jdm or usdm or adm?

my car has different parts from the usdm wrx, like the weels, foglights, interior, sunroof, pipes are different....

my car was MADE in Japan....its not so hard to believe..!

;)

DriftinS14 03-30-2004 04:55 PM

My 240sx has japanese parts on it and was MADE in japan. But it was manufactured for intended sale in the US which makes it a USDM car. You car was manufactured for intended sale in Argentina which makes it ADM. Thats pretty easy.

i want those stockers!!!! rims that is. ill buy them from ya. or anyone know how i can get them?

Takumi.wRx 04-01-2004 05:43 PM

Dude,

Did you not hear the man... it was made and converted in japan. If I am thinking correctly that should still make it a JDM.

BoxerRumble 04-01-2004 05:49 PM

converted in japan to LHD for the purpose of selling in Argentina makes it an ADM...

WRX-ARG 04-02-2004 10:08 AM

whatever....I can see that some of you are well informed...and some not.....JDM is not just the wheel conversion guys....use your fu***** head :p ;)

DriftinS14 04-02-2004 10:48 PM

I suggest before you tell people to use their ****ing heads that you actually figure out what you are talking about. Do you even know what defines what market a car is designated to? I dont think you do. So you think that because your car shares many acccessories with a JDM car that it IS JDM? What about Aussie market cars? German market cars? UK market cars? Get my point? Is a UK market car a JDM car? NO! its a UKDM car. Whatever market the car was built to be sold in thats what market car it is. Your car would be a JDM car IF a private dealer imported it PRIVATELY and THEN converted it from RHD to LHD. Is that what happened? Did you buy it from a Subaru dealer? Your car wasnt converted, it was BUILT LHD. Do you really think that Subaru would produce a series of cars to just turn around and tear it halfway back apart and "convert" it to LHD? I dont think they would be in business with production practices like that. Your car was built LHD, your car was built with the intent to be sold in the Argentine Domestic Market, therefore it is an Argentine Domestic Car, AKA ADM, NOT JDM!

I know this is a super old post...but I see how many people wanted the UK17 wheels back in 2004 (I guess because they were different at the time). Just wanted to put this out there for all those people who may still want a set in 2008.

I have a set I'm selling. Willing to ship. I've had mine since I've had my car in 2004 and just want something different.
