Doesn't it serve a purpose?

Why do you have your license plate mounted on the side if you don't have a front mount?

Only 2 I can think of right now are a jacking point, which my car was too low before I dropped it and also for the transport hooks.

As far as the license plate being on the fog light cover I wanted a cleaner look so I decided to mount it there. I also like it like that, thanks again guys and gals.

I think it helps prevent damage/injury in the case of an accident. I believe thats the only purpose.

yea just safety reasons (haha) and it loosens the front end.
You should get a do-luck subframe replacement.

Well, I have a friend that is into suspension goodies on his 07 STi and he rips his car so bad in the corners and in canyons. He has motor/tranny mounts, frt sway bar, and is running without the sub frame and he could not tell any difference as far as it being more loose, even before the suspension parts were added.

I am happy with my decision to get rid of the sub frame.

Some cops look for anything to pull you over for, you saw my license plate before I remounted it on the cover? I trimmed it, and then bent it to make it look like the jdm angled piece

As far as not having a bracket then why do some people not get a ticket for mounting it like this?

Whatever, I guess I will just put my plate where it belongs since i find myself driving a lot in SJ and SC as well.
