He's lifeguard...wants to be the next David Hasselhoff.

so the junior college is trying to steal my money! in the past if you registered online you had 5 days to come in and pay your fees and if you didnt pay your registration would be canceled. Now, without informing the students or changing the online info, they changed the policy so that you can pay at any point in the semester. They are nice enough to send you a bill every week though, starting AFTER the drop date. So if you didnt know about the new policy you'll find out about it when you bring in your bill and go "wtfm8?" and at that point you can drop the class, but you still have to pay the fees. I'll post up what the little girl in the fiscal services office offered as an excuse when I get home...its the biggest "I have know clue what I'm talking about so I'm going to make something up right now" line ever
so yeah, the little twat's response when I asked why my registration wasn't automatically canceled like it was in previous semesters and like it said it would be online.

me:well why wasn't it canceled this time?
her:psh, you can't rely on the system
me:...excuses me? why is that?
her:well, you know, its computers :giggle:
so whats the optimal tire width for 17x8's? 225? or can you go wider than that without them feeling sloopy?
235/245 fit perfectly fine. If you're worried about "sloppy feel" don't buy budget tires. ;)

Damn that's a tall tire.

I'm pretty sure those would be sloppy.

He only asked about width, hooker. :p

p.s., your mom's sloppy.
I've decided on the hankook z212's
In that case I recommend 235/40R17

Yeah, I know. I figured that out shortly after I posted :p

But yeah, I've got 235/40/17 on my 17x8 and they seem fine. I've also run 225/45/17 without feeling too sloppy.

thats if discounttiredirect.com would offer more than one width for each tire diameter right now

the 225/45's felt sloppier than the 235/40's? or am I just understanding you wrong?

I'm a tire n00b incase no ones noticed :D

Nick Koan 10-17-2007 11:04 PM

I didn't compare the two. I was saying they both felt fine.

The two tires were fairly different types (both were three season, but the 225 was significantly harder in almost all aspects), and with that small of a difference in size, I believe compound/sidewall/etc make more of a difference in ride quality and whatnot.

that'd work if I had decided on the falkens and not the hankooks

ibtl

I advise against falkens for driving in the rain. Good year is far better.
