Tired Wednesday

After listening to the 3 hour tribute to Chester, you don't realize how great his vocal range was until all the guest stars were trying to sing his part. Just wasn't the same listening to those LP songs
|
Bon Jovi Friday for me.
|
I'm tired of all my dickbutts breaking.
|
Getting on the Legos Ideas mailing list was the best worst thing ever.

My favorite memory of Linkin Park was from when we saw them at Summer Sanitarium (Metallica, LP, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, and Mudvayne) in Denver. Mid song, after one of the screaming parts in Faint, Chester nonchalantly walks to the side of the stage, pukes, wipes himself off, lights a cigarette and kept going like nothing happened.
I'm tired of all my dickbutts breaking.
We expect nothing, but perfection. |
Linkin Park got me in to the music i still play today, he had one of a kind talent. the only other band that came close to them is Our Last Night.
|
The first concert I ever went to was Projekt Revolution

Oh lol! Yeah, I hate seeing the Speed Champion stuff cause it really messes with my wallet |
Im just glad I got to see them live once.
Rob, that is one hell of a lineup!
Summer Sanitarium '03 was beyond epic. It was at Mile High, but still felt intimate--if that even remotely makes sense. My buddy and I were so smashed from the night before, we way overslept and only caught two songs from Mudvayne.:mad: Still enjoyed it. Chad Gray is a trip to watch live. During the intro to Not Falling, he was adding "beat" by hitting himself over the head with the microphone. Deftones were meh. Limp Bizkit will never be in danger of being considered a GREAT band, but they do put on a good show and really get the crowd going. Seeing Linkin Park and Metallica live was nothing short of spiritual. Only other show I've been to that even comes close to this one, but still a distant second even though it had my all-time favorite band: Evanescence, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, and Three Days Grace in Little Rock at the closing show of the Fallen tour. Musical talent aside, since it was the end of the tour, the bands were playing pranks on each other. During BB set, one of the other bands blew up a giant 6' inflatable duck on stage holding a sign that said "Congrats! It's a dork!". During 3DG, some of the guys from Seether came out and sprayed the band with silly string while they were playing. Amy Lee had coordinated a giant confetti show to explode and rain down on Seether during "Fine Again". A nice dark song about suicide and it's raining confetti. lol She and another person came out during that set in full gorilla suits and were throwing bananas. During Ev's set, a bunch of guys from the other bands got into her wardrobe and came out on stage wearing her stage outfits. One guy was laying on her piano in a full on ball gown. lol Good times. Not to mention the music was awesome. |

Not even close to Summer Sanitarium. lol
LOL! Yeah until it was LP's turn to take over. I still enjoyed it though. |

That was another good lineup: Korn, Evanescence, Flyleaf, Hellyeah, and Atreyu. Trivium was also on the mainstage, but we missed them to see 5FDP on the second stage which, in retrospect, spawned my dislike (hatred) of festival-type shows because we also missed Otep. |
I felt like I needed to start cutting myself just reading that lineup
LMAO thought the same thing. Only "emo" bad I really enjoy is AFI. The rest are just nebulous blobs of screaming, hair dye, and eyeliner. |
I was never a big rock music guy. I was more into R&B and Hip Hop/Rap music during my earlier years.

Yea its the main thing I dont like about Aftershock. More than 2 or 3 times each year (over the last few years) I have been torn on what set to watch. [QUOTE=Rev. The one and only time I got to see LP, was -AFI -30 Seconds to Mars -LP |
I feel like quite the outsider as I've never listened to Linkin Park other than what was on the radio.
