Snow driving

So winter is getting here. As it would. Slowly! Where are some spots where people go in the Tahoe region to drive (do donuts and drifts and drive like a retard) in the snow?

If you don't want to post your spots, pm
Me or whatever, or we can set up some snow adventures. Ya dig?

I'm very fond of the Sierra parking lot lol and they parking lot workers love it haha!

flexticles 11-07-2012 09:20 PM

Yeah the "A" lot. We usually do it for about a minute then park.

That's the bottom overflow lot that they don't plow a lot right? I have almost got stuck when they had about 2 feet of snow lol

boreal has a huuuugggeee parking lot, i went there a few times last winter it was a pretty good time haha

ARisso916 11-07-2012 10:40 PM

i usually do it in A-lot too, we just park and drop in right there after

Trakjunky 11-08-2012 11:51 AM

I'll have to check it out. Or just go explore. Going to be interesting.

careful of the banks though, some 'fun' objects can be hiding.. on the sides.
-case in point: there is this great spot i usually go. come to find out there are boulders and a huge ditch i almost found the hard way(slid and stopped before any damage). didn't know how lucky i was until i drove by this summer haha.
Also saw some dbag lifted truck 'discover' a parked car under the snow bank. that was a good one.

Trakjunky 11-08-2012 01:51 PM

Yeah snow likes to hide obstacles. And is very good at it!

Ya the lot behind herizon cause that place never has cars and is a huge lot! Most people think it's bad ass when I go out and have fun in the snow! I had a chp give me 2 thumbs up hella times at the checkpoints! Never once been stopped I'm my suby. They know what up lol and I'm also kinda low, still getting the waive on!!

Trakjunky 11-08-2012 10:56 PM

Herizon? Or horizon? Sounds like a good spot, i havent been snowboarding since i hurt my knee in 09 so I forget the area. I'd probably know if I saw it though.

Vladi 11-08-2012 11:35 PM

Head north.
Don't stop til you see white stuff on the ground.
Find a large parking lot.
??????
Profit

lol

No seriously though, that's how we usually do it.

Trakjunky 11-09-2012 12:29 AM

I agree with your methods. Freestyle.
