ecutek reflash near Truckee?
Hello, I will be moving to Truckee in the next month or two from upstate Ny. I am in need of a reflash for my wrx in order to use the Califonia 91 octane that you guys unfortunatly have to use. I am looking for a tuner that is fairly close to where I will be living (Truckee, CA) to do a reflash of my ecutek so i can run my car this winter. It is currently running a 93 octane map done by shiv for a vf22, sti inj, walbro, up/down pipes, and exhaust. I know i will lose alot of hp, but it needs to be done instead of pouring additives at every fill-up. Any help would be appreciated. Also looking forward to going to a Sacramento meet every now and then. Thanks, Myles

S-Squared is in Rancho Cordova (eastern Sacramento), and its where some of us Reno/Truckee guys go. www.ss-ms.com on the web.
Oh, and welcome to the area, we have a regional forum for the Reno area, if you are interested, www.seccs.org.

Cool, welcome to Truckee! I've lived here for ten years. You'll love it. S-Squared is the place. Trust me, they fixed my problems I had with a Vishnu Stage 2 set up. The gas sucks here, but the roads and the view will more than make up for it. By the way, Truckee has got to be the Subaru capital of the world. I hope your ready for snow........crazy snow. S-squared is about 2 hours away. Actually it's exactly 1 hour 56 minutes...............oh never mind I go there all too often, Tuesday in fact.
Where are you moving to in Truckee?

Thanks for the replies. I will be out either at the end of this month or the end of next month. I will definitly need to stop by s-squared for some tuning. I decided to move from Plattsburgh, NY when i was visting some friend this last february and the weather just rocked. I went back home and didn't even snowboard for a month, it was just too cold here. I understand the 91 octane and elevation will hurt my cars performance alot. I do need a car and the wrx is awesome in the snow. This really is the best drifting car for snowy parking lots!
