i could help you if you drop them off, but i'm assuming you don't have another vehicle

Vladi Jan 24, 2013 09:44 PM

if you baked em twice (and messed em up twice, cause I saw them lol) you likely messed up the original glue.

In which case silicone is your friend. Black strong silicone if you want it to look clean. Holla at me with additional questions.

Or PM jarek, he's good at that stuff

I use permatex clear rtv silicone. I also use astroglide and durex, but that's not for the headlights.

i used some fw1 cleaner on mine and they havent faded since surprisingly...!! **** works well, I even tried some lens repair kit a year ago that worked but never permanently

I could always steal the girlfriends car. I used the black silicone, a ton of it too, at least i thought so. Those touch less car washes with the high pressure washers, own the crap out of the headlights.

There filling up with condensation, but 1 could defiantly use a restore, since the other one is brand new and looks great. looks funky with one good headlight and one crap faded, yellow, one.

...jesus christ, you really didn't do that right. Good thing there are people here to help you fix them.

I did do everything "right"... Just leaking somewhere. Didn't leak for months

pho_shizzle Jan 25, 2013 02:10 PM

You didn't completely seal it off.

I would not use silicone in the headlights to make the seal. It hardens and solidifies over time and you will not be able to break the assembly apart if you happen to find yet another leak and would like to redo.

I have never had a condensation issue for the many many headlights I have worked on and serviced (or at least none has been reported yet). I don't use silicone, I use the industrial pro materials.

Too bad you're in sac.

"industrial pro materials"? that's helpful...
