Oil dip stick popping out and blowing oil all over

For some reason my oil dip stick keeps getting blown out and then oil gets blown all over. I have no clogged emission lines. I took out and cleaned my PCV valve. It was'nt stuck or anything before I cleaned it.

Has anyone had this problem.

03 WRX. I have a 2.5 motor with 2.0 heads. Sti TMI and a vf 34 turbo, sti pinks and a reflash.

If anyone can please help with this it would be great.

Thanks, Troy

Have you noticed a difference in power? (decrease?) I'm sure you already thought of this but sounds like some excessive blow-by. Does it smoke or have any leaks anywhere? Also, if you have a catch-can, check it out and make sure it isn't full or clogged. Also, try this, start the car and slowly take the oil filler cap off. If it's smoking pretty severely, then its pretty likely you've got severe blow-by issues, it's normal for it to smoke a little though.

*edit* does the dipstick still have the little rubber seal on it and does it stay in place pretty well when you put it in the dipstick tube or is it a loose fit? Either way, it sounds like blow-by OR somehow you've got boost pressure somehow plumbed into your emissions. Check it out and let us know. I'm definitely curious though.

I would do a compression test as well.

Been there done that. Chances are likely there is another issue. Remove your oil cap if it's pulsing quite heavily and spitting oil at you, you've got a ring problem. Oil tends to show up in the I/C as well.

IMO, the hybrid setup is crap. There's a plague of problems, this is one of them.

do a leak down test, is the o-ring in good shape on the dip stick? i happen to like the set you have. have had no problems with my "hybrid" set up.

Is th extra pcv line found on the 2.5 block in use?
Is the pcv system installed correctly?
How long has this motor been installed?

No, I was told to just cap it.

The emissions lines look right.

The motor has 70,000 + on it.

Also, it just started doing this 2mos ago. I've done nothing new. Just monthly maint. The dip stick is kinda loose too. You don't have to pull very hard at all to get it out.

i read about someone else having this problem on their 08. it was weak motor/trans mounts. you might wanna look into that.

I had all kinds of problems with my hybrid setup. This was one of them . I went as far to have another nipple welded to the outside of my valve covers and T'd to center vent where should have went. I wish this was the problem in the grander scheme.
This is one of the problems with the hybrids and those that build them. Can't figure a place for the vent so it gets capped. Somethings tells me Subaru placed a center CCV for a reasons other than plugging it up.
