apparently i was wrong in voicing my opinion. but...everyone else's was fine?

you can voice your opinion all you want. I personally look at it differently. Every race, religion and gender gets a stereotype. It's nothing to take personal.

You weren't wrong in voicing your opinion, dude. We all react to different things in different manners. Certainly that image is offensive as it plays on a stereotype that black people love fried chicken. Just like black comics who make fun of white people for talking in nasally voices, or liking Elvis, or wearing their pants up high get laughs at stereotypes, other groups do the same, with black stereotypes or others. Some people are appalled and offended by making light of these generalizations, others aren't. I'm not. I agree with you that the image is offensive, however I choose to laugh at it as I feel it was created in jest, not to spread hate or dislike towards a race of people. I know I'm not racist, and laughing at that image, IMO doesn't make me so.

Nah, I agree. There is a difference at laughing with stereotypes and laughing at stereotypes (if that makes any sense).

That gif really wasn't that original, or in my opinion very funny. I was only offended because it was such an awful, unoriginal reproduction of one of the laziest attempts at racially provocative humor.

Basically, that gif was about as funny as Carlos Mencia saying the word '******' one hundred times (also known as season one of his god-awful show). If it was better done, or took on a better stereotype then sure, it might be funny. But man, that gif was just plain stupid.

 

now thats funny. im gonna look for something like that
