I like scary moovies

I just watched the hills have eyes... i think the maker of that movie should be in therapy... He has ****ing issues, i'm not sure very many people could make a more sadistic movie... In one scene a girl gets raped another gets her boobs sucked on while having a gun put in her babies face and the mom gets blasted... then shortly after the mom gets blasted the girl who got her boobs sucked on gets blasted in the head...

Then shortly later the mom's body gets stolen and the kid finds it, and gets to watch a guy eat his mom infront of him....

seriously... wow... I watched Hostel and could eat spaghetti to that movie, but this one takes the cake for the most disturbing movie ever made i think!

(yes i know it's an old movie, but i finally watched it since it was on PPV)

off to bed... first time i have gone to sleep before 12 in a long ass time.... 14 hour day tomorrow :( i hate the working life

Mr. Furley 08-03-2006 08:18 AM

Hahaha my jaw dropped the first time i saw that scene.... you really have to see the people that are committing these acts to really appreciate it... think deliverance with disfigured nuclear hillbillies.

GT35 STI 08-03-2006 01:04 PM

at first, it didnt. we were with someone that had already seen it, so she said it had been changed from the theatrical release, even though we were watching the non-rated version....

then it got really bloody.....

funny thing is, three of the four of us were planning a backpacking trip through Europe, and we were gonna stay at hostels. well, not anymore!

T-Will 08-03-2006 01:19 PM

I think Event Horizon was one of the only movies that actually scared me. That movie was freaky.

I haven't seen Hostel yet.

Pitch Black, Solaris, Sphere, were alright. (scary sci-fi > sci-fi > *)
I guess you could say the Abyss had some unconfortable moments (the whole breathing liquid made me a little nervous).

I've seen scarier movies. You are a pLlssy,

Wasn't one of the daughters the hot momma from lost?

WRXSTIFTW 08-04-2006 02:44 AM

i havent seen a movie that has actually scared me since i was probably in 5th or 6th grade. for some reason gory movies just make my stomache unhappy, but i havent been scared in a movie. i've jumped in a movie or 2, but not scared.

Egan 08-04-2006 05:05 AM

The last movie that scared me was the Sixth Sense. I watched it alone in the dark and that was a mistake. :p Before that, it was probably the original Nightmare on Elm Street when I was much younger.

Filmmakers have really lost the ability to truly frighten audiences. Blood and gore is not what scares people - it's the anticipation that builds up in your own mind as you watch the film. That's why a movie like the original Psycho can still scare someone who hasn't seen it before. Hitchcock was a master and some of the current Horror Hacks could learn from his style.

Out of all of the "scary" SciFi flicks, I would have to agree with Tim that Event Horizon was one of the most frightening. I saw it in the theater and I jumped out of my seat more than once.

The original Alien movie was also good for a few screams. :)

GT35 STI 08-04-2006 06:34 AM
The last movie that scared me was the Sixth Sense.
I agree... I think that was the last movie that literally made it so I couldn't sleep that night at all... and several night after...

I have a thing about ghosts to begin with so when a movie like that is made... It just TKO'd me

Oh ya... What lies beneath also made me jump alot

nightmare on elm street scared the begeesus out of me! but i think that the last movie to give me nightmares and make me pee my pants was the orignal texas chainsaw massacre! i was like 12 when i saw it on HBO the first and only time and i had dreams about that movie for like 3 years! it was the only movie that has scared me since! most of the movies now are either disgusting or just stupid, although ring 2 wasn't to bad considering it was a sequel to a not so good ring.

childs play scared me to cause i watched that one when i was 4! then my mom (not knowing i saw the movie) baught me a my buddy doll! i was terrified of that thing, so me and my cuz (he watched the movie with me) always would try to kill the my buddy doll!

...........ah good times!

T-Will 08-04-2006 06:47 AM

When I was younger Gremlins freakin' scared me so I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking that every knock or creak was a gremlin.

Poltergeist was pretty freaky when I was a kid. That damn clown.

Saw 2 wrecked one our friends.

goes back to the ghost thing... and for some reason they did the kind of thing that creeps me out the most... that's when you look into the mirror and nothing is there... then you look away and look back and there is something standing behind you... for some reason ever since I was a little kid I have had that fear that i would look away and there would be a ghost behind me

The hills have eyes... you thought it was good? I thought it was incredibly boring and disturbing.. There was no build up to me, because frankly I didn't give a **** about any of the characters... they all had no personality. I'm also glad the hot younger sister made it to the end...

BUt like when the dad died i was like w/e he was a prick... Gay hippie dies... another prick... Mom... Annoying as ****... It's hard to like a movie when you don't care who outa the main characters die, I was rooting on the zombie things when they where after the youngest boy... The only one i didn't want to die was the hot younger girl LOL

T-Will 08-05-2006 01:18 AM

By "pretty good" I mean it was as I expected, disturbing with a lot of gore. No boobies though... :(

the game???? WTF???

newyorkreload 08-06-2006 09:55 PM

I like how no one ever makes a remark about the stuff they agree with, as if providing hostility and disapproval is the only option when it comes to having an opinion around here.

Yeah, "The Game". "Why That Film???" you ask, with your three question marks to highlight importance, because I found it to be a damn good suspense film. David Fincher knows wht he's doing. I’d like to know why you challenge "The Game" but not "8mm" or "The Crimson Rivers"?

I suppose, with my way of thinking, I could say SE7EN, The Birds, Wrong Turn, Jeepers Creepers and North by Northwest could be on this list too.
