Real Monday
Ryan must be drunk.
2011 WRXs are known to have boost control problems with catless downpipes. While some get away without needing the EBCS, it was recommended to have one in the first place rather than finding out that it's needed without having it. I agree with the recommendation. It's a necessity to me.

That's mindless lemming talk, likely copy/pasta'd straight from someone trying to sell you a 3 port ebcs. Here's some actual experience for you:
I've tuned well over 200 GR's and the ones that had boost creep issues could not in any way shape or form be fixed, or even alleviated by a 3port, because boost creep is a result of a poorly designed hotside, and exacerbated by a highly flowing downpipe/exhaust system.
On the cars that creep, you can (and I have) disconnect the boost controller altogether, loop the signal line from compressor to wastegate, or set all values in wastegate control to zero, effectively running the lowest "boost control" possible, and it would still creep.
I think you'd waste a lot less money on stupid pointless mods if you actually had some proper guidance
There are some merits to running a 3port, but "fixing boost creep" is not one of them.

I drank too much designer vegan ethical free range zero cruelty soda pop this weekend and now my tummy hurts.
Oh yeah, and the AC in my new Forester doesn't work during a heat wave but I don't care as I'm enjoying the hell out of it even so. :-)

Yessir! Although my straight pipe did earn me dirty looks from the "suburban neighborhood sentry captain" while she was retrieving her mail in her house slippers.
Depending on how much karmic debt I'm already in due to hooning around in my Vette at midnight I may consider putting the STI exhaust on the Foz instead of the muffler delete.

Thomas, remember me complaining about the knock off, do it yourself mudflap that I thought the previous owner crafted offhandedly with Crayola child safe scissors and an old vinyl record? It turns out that it has a Rally Armor logo stamped on it. I guess it's supposed to look like that. LOL
