My coolant expansion tank started leaking this week. I'm thinking I'm gonna DIY myself a new lid out of aluminum this weekend. Anyone know what temp a propaine torch reaches?

An air-only torch will burn at around 1,995 °C (3,623 °F), less if heat loss to the surroundings is taken into account. Oxygen-fed torches can be much hotter at up to 2,820 °C (5,110 °F), depending on the fuel-oxygen ratio.

okay I should be fine. The solder I'm looking at melts at 450, so it's in a good spot to not warp the amuminum yet won't re-melt if i powder coat it at 350.
what about brackets that just move it out of the way?
It goes down below the frame rail. The tank really fills all the space between the radiator, frame, engine, and fan. As it turns out, the FMIC kit I have wants to use that space for a pipe.
