Wob, to re-cap the numerous texts:
nb and nc feel drastically different. think bugeye vs 08. you wanna know which is right for you. people usually don't cross-shop, because you either like/want one or the other. Both have pro's and cons and are really good at different things. if getting nb1 avoid ca spec like chris said. if getting nb2 avoid the TF diff and try to stick to 01-02's with 6sp/torsens but a diff aint that hard to swap and not that pricey either. if getting nc get 09+ they are way better.

I think a lot of the decision depends on:
-how far you want to go modding them
-how often you're gonna track vs how much daily driving
-price/mileage.

ND is smaller than the NC, yeah?

Chris GTO TT 06-08-2018 10:50 AM

Rob you'll know pretty quickly if you prefer the NB or the NC. I'm an old man and the more 'street friendly' aspect of the NC is why I want one. I suspect you'll want the NB because you like it rough :giggity:

Over all size it is. Interior space is fairly similar to the NC

Vladi 06-08-2018 11:01 AM

Nd is amazing. Its the best of both, except the ultra limited aftermarket, and the transmission issues, and obviously cost of entry

I am definitely leaning NB, but I figured I'd give the NC a go for science.

Vladi 06-08-2018 11:20 AM

It's muuuch comfier. Softer, quieter, more creature comforts, modern, stiffer chassis, etc.
Which makes it a lot larger and heavier. And interior quality is a bit lower, with tons of plastic/etc.

As a daily, it's excellent. As a track car the nb is smaller, lighter, sharper, more "raw". Also has way more aftermarket support and development.

PS: if I was in your shoes right now, I would go pick this up today assuming it's not all janky

R title, but to me that aint no thang as long as I inspect it and it's been reparied ok. only a couple thou more than the cleaner nb/nc's you were eyeing

stupidchicken03 06-08-2018 11:37 AM

lost in the sauce
