it isn't going to be any worse than any other car (prolly better than most "compact" sedans)
the first 9-mo/year will be the worst (seat facing backwards & reclined) but after that they fit just fine. if you want to prevent the perma-dents from the seat they sell a thick pad that goes under them to keep them from wearing grooves in the material. all stores carry them now (target, sears, wal-mart, etc...). oh and you have to get a Recaro seat for them once they're big enough (~18mo)!:D |

Different carseats do fit differently in all cars. I have been doing a lot of research on this and a lot of popular cars have problems with some carseats.
This is a cool site http://www.carseatdata.org/ it takes a little while to load the database but you can put in the type of car you have and see what issues other people have had. We have decided on the Britax Decathlon till our child reaches about 50 pounds (even though it goes up to 65) and then we are going to move to the kid to the Recaro Youth Seat because it acts as a forward facing carseat up to 65 pounds and also as the booster seat up to 80 pounds (the new standard: Booster seat till age 8 and 80 pounds) Both those seats are the top of the line and have price tags that follow with them, but hey my kid is worth it. If you are buying in town I would go to Goores on a weekday, they carry both in stock and will do a free install. - Mrs. Xevious (to lazy to log into my aco**** cause I am on Scotty's laptop) |
