Back to it Monday
Playing a bit of catch up today
|
Short week for me this week. Friday is my regular day off and working a half day wed.
|
Still digging out of the holiday email avalanche. Ugh!
|
haha same here. Cleared 20 emails, and in that time 40 more came in. hard to stay motivated.
on another note, I need to find a really reputable clutch kit for STi that can handle about 400-450whp and tons of drag strip abuse. thoughts? |
Spec Stage 2+ (SU303H)
Do that because that's what I want to get. |
STi=/=WRX
If this was for wrx I would without question do yet another exedy stg1. done a bazillion of them, love them. (and would get for your car if I were you) |

Except in the real world it has, many times and for many years now.
Umpossibru, I know ;) |
It holds more torque than advertised?
Spec advertises 420. |
I had exedy stg1 on the WRX for years no issue.
|
With how much power?
|
Yes jQQ, way more. 400wtq. Power is irrelevant, it's all about torque. For over 2 years and 20k miles with frequent trips to sac raceway. My issue is that while the wrx stg1 worked perfect for me and many others, the sti stg1 HD clutch we tried for the STi was terrible and I hated it with a passion. Way too stiff, lightswitch engagement, total pain for daily driving. So I'm looking for real world results/experience here, not manuf torque ratings. |
