Probably not a good time to buy stock. I don't think it is going to go much higher. However back in late 2008 when it dropped to about $20 that would have been a good time to buy.

mr_silas 01-10-2011 08:59 AM

ya i am playing one of the stock game simulators online and i bought there stock when it was 40 bucks and ya i have lots of money :) as long as a few other companies. so when i start using real money i have some practice.

anybody play those games? like investopedia??

Vladi 01-10-2011 09:16 AM

There is always a risk (obviously). Of course there are ways of trying to "stay ahead of the game" and feel out the market and what not, but if you are not financially sound enough to part with every single penny you invest you shouldn't be investing.
Economy is crap right now. Not many things are apreciating in value. Be careful man.

The thing is.. There is a helluva lot more to it than what that little number is doing. Until you understand WHY stocks are moving you really shouldn't be doing serious investing on your own. Otherwise you are just gambling.

Pearl07STI 01-10-2011 10:52 PM

investing can be tough and i've seen my money go up and down... but until you know enough about the company and buy when its low don't do it
