2019 SFR SCCA Sacramento Chapter Autocross Thread

w00t. Schedule is up for the 2019 season for the Sacramento Chapter of the SFR SCCA! This year EVERY event is at Thunderhill!

This is awesome because the surface up at THill is amazing and ONE OF the best in the region. The pad is big.. it's flat.. and it's BIG! The pad is approximately 6.75 acres!

Online Registration can be found HERE. The Chapter website can found HERE.

***IMPORTANT NOTES***
Pay to play prices:
Non-member full weekend: $120 onsite/$110 online
Member full weekend: $110 onsite/$100 online

SCCA Memberships are running around $70 so if you do more than three weekends, it pays for itself. Also, you can try an event before purchasing a membership--the $20 weekend membership will be applied as credit to purchasing your national membership!

Between the online registration discount and getting a full-year SCCA membership, you'll save over $100 on the season so yeah-- get your SCCA membership and do the online registration!

Concluded Events:
Round 1: March 23, 2019
Round 2: March 24, 2019
Round 3: April 27, 2019
Round 4: April 28, 2019
Round 5: May 18, 2019
Round 6: May 19, 2019
Round 7: June 22, 2019
Round 8: June 23, 2019
Round 9: July 13, 2019
Round 10: July 14, 2019
Round 11: August 17, 2019
Round 12: August 18, 2019

Upcoming Events:
Enduro Practice: September 21, 2019
Enduro: September 22, 2019

Link to schedule with individual days and run groups cane be found HERE.

For now, the schedule is all Thunderhill Events, but rumor has it Mather events MMMMAAAAAYYYYYY get added. Stay tuned.

Really hoping to make all the events. I will be defending my SM title and most likely getting spanked.

Crows Landing is the best site in the SFR region. It’s arguably among the top sites nationwide.

Best SITE, yes. I think the surface at THill is better.

I feel like site and surface are the same thing...

What are the dimensions of Thunderhill's pad? It doesn't seem very big.

We all know that asphalt isn't an ideal surface.

Is it? Are you talking about "the pad is big.. it's flat.. and it's BIG! The pad is approximately 6.75 acres"?

Marina Municipal airport around the same size, flat, and concrete (better than asphalt because more grip). Crows Landing is far larger, also flat, and concrete (again, better than asphalt because more grip). "Better" is subjective, so obviously I have to disagree with you

However, I'm glad to see you guys found a good location for your chapter!

I'll be honest... Thunderhill is hurting my desire to come up for AutoX. If I'm going to Thunderhill, I'm going to drive on the track.

But I need to get the car sorted. It still needs some thangs.
