Official Results are up! 2018 Sacramento Cup is in the books!
Some familiar names taking home hardware:
John Hancock, 1st, D Street
Steve Martegani, 1st, G Street
Rob Custodio, 1st, Street Modified (w00t)
Nicole Custodio, 1st, Street Modified Ladies (double w00t)
Derek Thacker, 2nd, Street Modified
Blake Titus, 3rd, Street Modified
Fun season! Car has run great all year. Last few events were.. interesting.. on burnt out RE-71Rs (cue Teriyaki Boys). Shopping slicks (still) for Toby, but may do something with the Miata instead and try my hand at E Street or even Street Touring. We shall see.
ON TO THE ENDURO!!

Your Miata would get moved to STR if you went for street touring, and you'd get murdered by S2000s if they show to enough events. I'd stay in ES for the Miata but the mods aren't as much fun.

Technically I placed 1st in STH out of the 4 days I ran out of 3 other competitors that only ran 1 day each. LOL

But, shoring up Toby's shortcomings (slicks, surge tank) and some maintenance will cost me about the same as maxing ES in the Miata.

Yeah. Charles Meyer and his S2000 pretty much own Sacramento Cup STR. He runs about the same pace as as I do in Toby now. I just don't foresee a scenario in which an NA on 200TW is as fast as Toby without dropping approximately 1.21 metric **** tons of money into it. ES is obviously the more cost-agreeable route (by about an order of magnitude less than STR), but, as you noted, mods aren't nearly as fun: shocks, brake pads, and a sway bar--that's it.

If I put a 245/40/15 Rival S 1.5 on a 15x9, pretty sure it'll have the same section width on a Miata as it would any other car.....?

I had a typo in my last post it should be 225/45/15. Remember I have 205/50/15s on my 15x8 wheels and they are not anywhere near as stretched as you'd expect.
