Subaru sponsored, Subaru only Autocross??
How does the sound of a Subaru sponsored, Subaru only, Subaru Autocross Competition sound?
Well that's an idea that has been brought forth to me to help coordinate.
The idea is to have it in North Texas.... Dallas/Ft Worth to be specific, at Texas Motor Speedway perhaps in late April of 2003.
Centrally located to the Southern USA, we can feasibly bring in members from both coasts and most of the middle of the country... this would be awesome.
The event itself would be spread out over 3 days... two days of autocrossing, 2 cookouts, one car show, many trophies, plenty of rivalry and camaraderie, and most importantly... FUN!

They had one in the Southeast region and it seemed like it was a good success. They had a few dealers get involved with the event. April might be a good time as autox seasons are just starting in other regions at that time.

South Jersey region did a similar thing except it wasn't subaru only.

I took 1st in 2 of the events and if you look at some of the results, you will see many nationaly competitive drivers there. One of them even co-drove my car when I won the 1st time
I would suggest contacting them to see how they got it planned and/or organized with subaru.

There may be one happening in the northeast this spring. I am working with Subaru and our local SCCA Region to coordinate at a LARGE venue in PA. Looking to have an STi present as well.
