GOTO:Racing, the Privateer Road Racing team out of Scotts Valley CA, announces a new partnership with long time sponsor GST Motorsports, one that sees GOTO opening a new race prep and fabrication facility operating out of GST’s Headquarters. Sporting state-of-the-art welding and fabrication equipment, GOTO:Racing aims to be more accessible to San Francisco Bay Area racing clientele, as well as produce high level race projects. With the marriage of GST’s industry leading EFI Tuning and engine services, and GOTO:Racing’s fabrication, race prep, and track side services, GST/GOTO aim to offer high level end-to-end race car preparation and program support under one roof. Said Mike Warfield, owner of GST Motorsports, “We have always taken care of the regular service work for our HPDE and race going customers, but now with the experience and skill set of GOTO:Racing’s personnel we hope to be able to bolster our offerings and step up to the next level of one stop race car preparation.”

GST/GOTO will also extend their relationship to the competition scene in 2008. This duo is no stranger to success on the race track, as their joint projects landed them huge success in Redline Time Attack and Grand-Am Koni Challenge competition in 2007. The 2008 season will see GST/GOTO in a full season of Redline Time Attack and a limited Koni Challenge schedule. “Another benefit of working in the same facility as our race partner,” remarked Steve Lock, Owner of GOTO:Racing, “Is that we can benefit from increased coordination in all or our racing efforts. This will allow us to attempt projects and builds of increasing complexity and higher performance, and it should produce some pleasant surprises for race fans in the coming year.”

GST Motorsports of Hayward CA is owned by Mike Warfield. Mike has been wrenching and tweaking cars since he was old enough to drive one (apparently a little before that as well). After opening a successful aftermarket-parts store in 2002, and serving as lead tuner at another shop from 2004-2006, Mike decided to branch out on his own. Looking to serve the unaddressed customer who seeks tuning expertise, parts knowledge, and excellent customer service all under one roof, Mike founded GST Motorsports. His technical resume includes SPEED GT, Grand-Am, and Rally America.

GOTO:Racing was founded in 2003 by Steve Lock, and is a provider of Professional racing services and support. Steve and his sons have run numerous successful racing programs in their short history, including Grand-Am Koni Challenge, US Touring Car, and own numerous Regional Championships. Their goal is to provide best-in-class race programs and fabrication services to their customers, while competing at the highest levels of the sport.
