Haha good point. I think it's time to renew my SCCA membership >=D

Can you ask them to reschedule the rally on the east so I can go..thanks!

Impresiv - you should check around in your area - there's lots of Rally-X even in the winter, they run on ice/snow.
I just got back from the Rally-X and it was lots of fun - probably 60 cars or so showed up, plenty of PGT cars, 6 or so Open class which were fun to watch. The rally school on saturday was really awesome. The driving time was brief, but great - they had a Figure 8 course, skid pad and slalom all on loose dirt/slick mud. Very Fun. A couple of the instructors were from the ProRally national ranks - Lauchlin O'Sullivan (Mistubishi) rode with me on the 8 & was working my e-brake to give me my car some encouragement - very fun!! school was great and the rallyx itself it great! Greg was so cool he even let us rip on the 'school' ground while we are not working and running! I had way too much fun!! on top of that, we has fun runs too!

Yep, lots of fun. A little chilly, but much better than the 100+ temps we had back in July. I like that course, but man was it slick when it was wetted down. It was definitely a lot faster at the end during the fun runs. I just wish I hadn't popped my tire off.
Oh well. Thanks to some help from iBlueVirus and a lot of help from MoDrift (remind me to bring my own jack next time), I got it reseated, and it seems to be fine. At any rate, I drove the 180 miles home on it without any problems. Pretty cool weekend, all in all. It was great to have a place to practice left-foot braking and doing e-brake turns, and I even managed to snag a ride in Terry Stonecipher's rally truck. |
you guys who stayed late don't have scores by chance do you?
|
No. They'll be available later this week.
