i wish i had no lenses...i kinda wanna try out nikon again.
i dont get why people buy those rebels...just get a used 20D.
i will never buy a plastic camera, or one lower than 5fps.
Edit: oh i guess you want movie mode though.

SG5 - if you have couple lens already, then just go with nikon...safe u time to sell your lens and buying new set of canon again...it sucks, since u won't get the same value.
but to tell you the truth, canon actually had a little wider range of lens you can choose from. I used to run with the D70s and couple lens, then I switch to canon...love it w/ no regret.
nikon does had better lens element and a little sharper image at some point, although, canon's lens is just short by a hair but with a better IS(VR) from what I experienced. ( then what really count is your view of the photo and knowledge of WB control...I am still learning, haha).
when u have time on Wednesday nite, come by cafe zen meet...let me know and I usually had my camera with me, and let u try it out (just don't drop it...haha)

Now, I'm debating If I should just get a D200, so I can save a few hundred and invest on my lenses.

d90 shares a lot of the qualities of the d300, thats for dang sure. i wanted a d300 so bad, but when the bb deal came up, i swooped on it cause of the 0% apr. 40 bux a month ftw!

the D90 does 4.5fps, what do you need a higher FPS for? i've shot a lot motorsports and it's rare that i hit the buffer and i have a D200. even when i hit the buffer i just back off for a second and resume.

I'd use the higher FPS for motorsports and skateboarding. For motorsports 4.5fps is probably fine, but for skateboarding and other "action" sports, the higher FPS would be more useful. I think in the mid-level DSLR range I'm looking in, the only one with higher FPS is the Canon 50D (6.3fps). This will be my first foray into DSLRs and I want to make sure I'm choosing the best possible camera for my intended uses. Is there another option that I'm missing?
