May' Photography Assignments: "Beginnings & Endings" and "Motion"
Please be sure to read the rules before posting your contributions! Muchos gracias
Theme #1: "Beginnings & Endings"
Theme #2: "Motion"
I'm not going to go into descriptions of the themes, because the point is for you guys and gals to figure out what it means for you.
Rules:
Ending Date: May 31st
This isn't a competition, just a themed assignment for those who wish to participate. The only reason there is a due date is to keep the thread from going on and on. Feel free to PM me with options for other themes.
Constructive Criticism
The point of limiting criticism to Constructive Criticism to to keep people from just going "wow, your photo sucks" without offering a means for improvement. You could go "The composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." It would also nice and helps people receive CC better if you balance a negative with a positive such as "Well the lighting is nice, but the composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." or "I like the composition overall, but the busy background distracts me from the subject's face.'

I know I did it a day early, so shush up
I don't think I'll have time tomorrow, and wanted to avoid a repeat of April. I'll even let you get started today on it if you want!

Good looking photos, everyone!
Here is my first contribution in a little while, for the 'beginnings and endings' theme...I guess it captures 'endings' more than 'beginnings' now that I think about it, but that's okay It was shot at the pioneer cemetery in Petrolia, CA...minor brightness editing done. I'm going to post more from the cemetery in the Bay Area photog section today.
"In memory of an only treasure. A loving schoolmate, and a beloved friend."
Info:
Camera: Nikon D90
Lens: Nikkor 18-105mm
Focal length: 32mm
F-Number: F/4.5
Exposure time: 1/320 sec.

Beginnings & Endings
I finally finished a roll of film early enough in the month to be able to post ... so here's my Beginnings & Endings ... shot at the Concours d'Elegance in San Rafael one really hot Sunday two weeks ago. Both photos were taken with my "new to me" Minolta Freedom zoom 140EX.
These are the less "commercially viable" ones ... I hope to have some of the other shots enlarged in time for the East Bay Open Studios in early June.
