June's Photography Assignments: "Travel" and "The Little Things"

Please be sure to read the rules before posting your contributions! Muchos gracias

Theme #1: "Travel"

Theme #2: "The Little Things"
Focusing on the smaller details or macro shots.

I'm not going to go into descriptions of the themes too much, because the point is for you guys and gals to figure out what it means for you.

Rules:

Photo has to be taken within the given month
Photo must be your own work
Please only submit ONE photo per assignment (in this case, 1 per theme)
If possible please post all the photo info such as lens, f/ stop, shutter speed, etc.
All photos are open to C&C unless otherwise noted by poster
Ending Date: June 30th

This isn't a competition, just a themed assignment for those who wish to participate. The only reason there is a due date is to keep the thread from going on and on. Feel free to PM me with options for other themes.

Constructive Criticism
The point of limiting criticism to Constructive Criticism to to keep people from just going "wow, your photo sucks" without offering a means for improvement. You could go "The composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." It would also nice and helps people receive CC better if you balance a negative with a positive such as "Well the lighting is nice, but the composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." or "I like the composition overall, but the busy background distracts me from the subject's face.'

Cool. These sound like good ones. Now in regards to travel, does it have to be from trips ?

Nope, anything that depicts some sort of travel. You don't have to physically leave to "travel." What takes your mind on a vacation? What do you think of when you think of travel?

I'm going to try and get something for this. Travel.... hmm I assume the word is open to interpretation?

Yup, all themes are, its fun to see what people can do once they kick their imagination into gear.

Here's my "Little Things"... the tires that hold the cable fencing together around Del Monte Beach in Monterey!

^^^^^ What beautiful pics! Is the last one a Fuschia?

Oh and Matt, I love how gritty yours is. Yay, I'm giving feedback, go Marit :p

In the meantime, here is one from me for the 'travel' theme. Taken while spelunking recently in Cave Junction, Oregon...its of the inside of the cave, if that wasn't clear. Once again taken with my Nikon D90, Nikkor 18-105mm lens
