I think the best one out for normal photographers is B+W. I would advice buying a 77mm size filter and just buy step up rings for all of your lenses. You'll save money in the long run.

Hoya also makes their super high coating whatever filters which I heard are pretty good.
i never really looked into the benefits of filters for the lens.do you guys prefer a certain one or carry different sets?i just usually slap a uv filter and call it a day

theres another autox event again this sunday and this time its american autox series, lots of fast bastards!!they like to set up their courses for speed

admission is always free which is good depends on the organizers but its usually around 9ish.since tech inspection has to be done first and organizing the run groups.

Alright, haha. Ill be in a Impreza outback sport.

Oh, btw, do these autox's have some type of "lifestyle" in them? I ask because thats what my current photo project is on. For example, someone repairing their car on the spot or someone being really happy about winning?

When I'm at the beach or some where with harsh conditions I'll use a UV filter. Most of the time I use a polarizing filter to make the sky more blue and remove glare on water/plants. You do lose about 2 stops when you use one though so I take it off when I photograph inside.

Haha yeah it's a pain. I don't use a polarizing on my telephoto or macro lenses and leave the polarizing filter on my 18-55mm 99% of the time because I'm too lazy to take it off haha.
