DSLR noob

Hi Guys,
I just picked up my first DLSR, a canon T1i, a week ago. I am very excited but also very nervous. I had point and shoots for a while but wanted to take better pics. I was hoping for some advice from you guys on a few things. First, what is the best program or combination of programs for editing, printing, uploading, etc. Second, I got the kit lens, what should I get next(filters, lenses, hoods, flash, etc.)? Third, are there any forums or web groups or local groups so I can learn to use this thing. Oh and I want to take pics of motorsports, landscapes, family stuff, my dogs and I am not really a portrait kind of guy.

Thanks in advance.

Check out DPReview.com, also see if there's an active local photo group on flickr.com.

What you should get next depends on what you shoot. You mentioned motorsports, family, dogs so a telephoto may be in order, but fast glass doesn't come cheap.

you can get the beta version of lightroom 3 for free, you just need a membership with adobe (free)

Start your investment with a decent flash unit - then onto the glass (lenses).
