I would say make sure you have a tripod, use the auto exposure bracketing (not the whitebalance, but the exposure) and get all three shots. Then find a good HDR program (the CS2 function sucks). Then it's all settings from there, but the settings are specific to each picture. Once you get to this point, let us know and we can help you with settings. But the keys to good HDR is a good camera (which you have), a tripod, and a good HDR program.

gracias, I was driving to get to the spot of the first one and was like "holy ****!" there really isn't any photoshop enhancement on it. Thank god the Pacific Grove golf course doesn't have any kind of fence

Yep, they are in San Mateo... I got it at invoice, which seems to be pretty good according to most of the bimmer forums I visited...
need to find somewhere with better lighting to take more pics... most of the lights near by my place are all yellow... need to find a cool in-door EMPTY parking garage. My work has a good size lot and very empty at night. But once I get home, I don't feel like going 'back to work' again...
