Haha yeah I thought that was pretty funny, that civic was at the nicest grocery store in Port au Prince...and I couldn't believe my eyes...ears first cuz I heard it, but I saw a silver bugeye with exhaust while I was there too...couldn't get a pic tho. Most of my shots from Haiti were taken from the back of a truck doin about 30mph since walking the streets wouldn't be such a good idea.

increase the canvas size and select extra area as black. Make sure you change the type to pixels rather than inches, and check the "relative" box.
Heres one I just did with an increase of 60 pixels (so 30 pixel frame)

image size: scales your image up or down
canvas size: scales the canvas: bigger will expose white, smaller will crop the image. so if you make your canvas 100x100 pixels, you will have a super detailed close up, until you make your image size 100x100, then you has an avatar.
so increase the canvas size a small amount of pixels and make it black.

EDIT: saw your second post. You can make it all an action (I'll let someone else explain that) and then with Bridge you can batch it all
