I like my RS3 tires.

LOL they where $45 a pop when I got them. 205/55r16 They are the best feeling tire I have ever owned. I have always had sheet tires though.

The slope I'm on is getting slippery. Even since I found out that there are only six bolts holding in the rear seat, I was curious to how hard it would be to pull out...

It's not as loud and annoying as I thought it was going to be. But really, I did it to fit a bunch of wheels and tires.

I might have started looking at half cages. I didn't realize that the Autopower bars were only $600. I thought they were a lot more.

I don't prefer them. But I will run them when they're less than $100 for the set.

The car held up well. I brought a temperature gun and recorded my brake temps. Turns out that my ducts were actually making my brakes hotter.

Monday called for a complete brake change.

Finally took the car in to get the air bag and relay recalls done. Had to cruise around in a Chevy IMPala. Stupid A-holes had my car for a week and trashed my shift knob. Someone was decent and got me a replacement knob. I never want to take my car back to a dealer.

Misjudged a driveway and dragged my bumper. Grew the crack that was forming. It seems that cracks in this area are actually pretty common. Debating zip ties.

Rehashing some bits from the original rice wagon. One of my high beam bulbs burnt out. So naturally, this meant baking the headlights. I ordered replacement bulbs. SSR Type C 17x8+35 225/45/17 Hankook R-S3 and they are entirely too small for this car.

Call it 17mm front, 15mm rear. Fronts are new, rears are used. The rears have seen the use of an entire set of fronts.

I've been trying to unload my old Q300 for a while. Got an offer to trade for an SRS N1. The same one that I originally traded from the Q300. Took the guy up on his offer and we traded back.

At the end of the first day, the brakes were feeling weird. Second day started with a rotor change.

Car was solid the whole day. I ran into some fuel starvation on the first day. On the second day I narrowed it down to the point that after 2 sessions, my car was low enough on fuel that it would starve. Mildly frustrating.

With the hood up after one of the sessions, I noticed something.

Only kind of a lot of blow-by from the BOV. I'm torn. It's kinda bad that all this oil is being sprayed in the engine bay. But this is oil that's not going back into the engine.

On the whole, the car ran well the whole weekend. Brakes were solid. Engine temps were within range. I didn't have to do slow laps. The tires didn't have any grip, I wasn't able to improve on my PBs. I also went through a frustrating amount of gas. Starving after only 2 sessions is rough. For the whole weekend, I burned ~70 gallons of gas.
