The seats were nice and hard to install. I got some bases from wedge industries and they had no freaking holes so we had to drill our own and it still fits the bottom too tight(passeneger side) so there needs to be adjustment. Th car feels COMPLETELY different when you sit in it. At least 1.5 to 2 inches more headroom, it feels much more spacious inside. Wheels are SSR comps 17in with eibach pro kit.

whitelegacy98 01-11-2004 03:29 PM

nice work, done any engine mods?

dcfc03 01-11-2004 03:51 PM

I'm holding out on engine mods till summer.

Looks like turboback is as far as I'll go for awhile.

I do Auto-X so I'm gonna spend some more $ on the suspension.

chomponthisdood wow very nice. looks very clean.. how much did you pay for the seats? bought on ebay $575 each(or so I'm told).

base and sliders $300 altogether ouch!

but I can't complain seats were a x-mas gift.

very nice, hows the hold? is it tighter than the stock seats, about the same, or looser? the place on the seat where it holds your thie in doesnt seem to be as tall. im looking at those seats or some bride brix's, might have to buy one at a time with those though.

Now you need a Sparco steering wheel.

What kind of rims it's nice!,,,,

dcfc03 01-28-2004 10:54 PM

Yes it is tighter than the WRX stock seat! Not only that but it pushes you lower and more to the center of the car better racing/driving position. Maybe the picture does not do them justice but the thigh hold is significantly stronger, mainly because the way the seat is made. The areas of support you see are serious in their form and function. The bars inside the seat are padded tightly with the material. Unlike the stock where you are floating on layer of foam. But a word of caution. I've had someone with a bigger frame than I sit in them and feel uncomfortable. I am about 5'9 at 165lbs. with a medium frame. I love the way they feel, BUT they are not for everyone. I would think STi stockers would work well for larger people. Of course you can spend another grand and have your Sparco seats cusom made for you!!11!

rims are SSR as in the title. 17x7.5

I hate it when peole tear off the perfectly good and effective airbag steering wheel. Putting a sparco on just takes away a very effective safety tool and makes the car illegal for a minor gain in looks, IMHO the car looks great with the stock MOMO
