I'd go with the hardware from Curt. Sourcing the hardware yourself could be just as much and might not be the right grade.

I've spent over $40 on 4 bolts. I was kinda miffed.

I'd try it out at least. See how it is and if the stealth hitch is really necessary.

I personally dont like the look of a hitch always just "there" unless its on a truck. Idk thats just me being weird, but ya..

The 13-17 Crosstrek has the plug in the back of the bumper and the aftermarket hitches you could get sat behind it. That was awesome.

I feel ya.

I've had a few people say I should get a hitch. But I don't want to deal with a hitch. I stumbled across a pretty sweet stealth hitch that would tuck behind the rear bumper that was pretty cool. But then I remembered that I don't want to deal with a hitch.

We have the Torklift Eco Hitch on our Outback and I was really impressed with the quality of it. I really like the fact you only see the receiver on it.

My Raingler net showed up in the mail.

This will be installed on the B-pillars. Using it as a dog barrier behind the front seats.
Should get it installed this week or maybe this weekend.
