WTT: '04 Novara(REI) Aspen H/T MTB for MTB sized Dirt Jump/Urban bike.

bike is a 17" (M) Novara Aspen Hardtail
this is the REI house brand, made alongside GT & Giant(?) in the same plant overseas.
good components for the price point, much better than you'll get w/ a cheap Iron Horse, Trek, K2, etc. in the same price range.
rim brakes, 8spd rear cassette, 80mm front RST fork, etc, etc...
this was my first MTB. nothing fancy, just your basic mountain bike but it's been a great bike over the years.
put quite a few rides on this horse but it's never let me down (sans a few flats and one chain snap after 3 years of riding which was well overdue).

I recently purchased a F/S XC rig and have found a bike park by my work and want to do some DJ stuff there but both my bikes have awful stand-over height clearance for DJ style riding (read: high/flat top tubes).

my original plans were to look for a M/L sized Dirt Jump frame and dump all the components off my Novara onto the D/J frame, but it will take more than just the frame cus I want to go single speeds or 1x8 (or 3x1 or 2x1) and need nice hard-pack/urban tires, so i thought i'd check to see if any of you i-club cyclists had a complete one they may want to trade or sell instead.

not really looking for a BMX bike, something more along the lines of a Santa Cruz Jackal but without the SC pricetag (a 26" wheel, front sus fork, sloping top tube type bike).

if anyone is interested in a trade or has a complete Dirt Jump/Urban bike or frame for sale, let me know.:thumb::thumb:

can post some pics later if needed, just gauging interest right now.

i'm also willing to trade just the frame and/or the drivetrain if anyone is interested.

i realize this isn't a high dollar bike to start with and would be happy with just the basic of basics for a DJ frame/bike. nothing out of proportion in comparison.
