Wrecked 06 WRX wagon buy back - ASAP
Some idiot in a big rig decided it was more important to look at his cell phone instead of the road and destroyed my car.
There is a very short window of opportunity here and I do not have the time to store and part out. So....
Damage:
- rear was hit high by a big rig truck and smashed/caved in the trunk. That's gone.
- None of the passenger area was intruded. Seats are intact and fine
- airbags did NOT deploy so full front dash, center console, steering, gauges, etc are all in perfect condition
- front left corner collided with Honda when my car was shoved into it. Only right side light is good. Radiator might be ok, can't tell.
- ENGINE IS FINE. ~105k on it with timing belt done around ~70k
- stock 5sp tranny is fine, all engagement excellent
- 4-pot front brakes, 2-pot rear excellent shape with Stop Tech SS brake lines, TIC brake booster brace, titanium shims (TIC) is in there too!
- front doors in great shape
- 17x7 silver Kosei K1 TS (from tirerack)
I'm the original owner; bought new in 2006. I think this would make a great transplant into an older chassis, or WRX with blown motor.
If you want this, contact me immediately and let me know how much you'll pay. I don't know what the buy back will be from the insurance. I would love to see the parts of my WRX that served me so well be a good "car organ" donor.
UPDATE: The salvage is now at Insurance Auto Auctions in Fremont

I make you this offer,
IF you want to part it out, I will let you store it in my back yard (rv parking area), in turn, I would like the seats(front), and brake booster support out of it.

Sorry to hear what happened man, I had a wrx wagon too and got in a front end collision so I know the feels. How much would you be willing to sell for the engine & wiring harness?? Would definitely put it to good use in my 2.5rs coupe

Sorry to hear about your car, glad you're ok. Now tell me where that photo was taken! I'm driving around aimlessly through back mountain roads trying to get some dirt on the tires.

NOOOOOO. Glad you are OK though it sounds like?
I want your seats...if Bear doesn't get them.
I have a buddy who might be interested in it as a donor; let me ask him.
Bump for a good guy.

Thanks the kind words everyone.
I'm ok enough that didn't have to immediately go to the hospital.
No word yet on cost to buy back because I'm still dealing with insurance.
As for the picture that's a rallyx at Prairie City. Go to http://www.norcalrallycross.com/ and join us at the next event! You will learn how to really drive a subaru!

Just let me know. I also have a big diesel truck (dodge 3500) so if you pay for the rent on a trailer, and the fuel cost, I can come down and pick it up for you and haul it up here, would need your help getting it off the trailer of course.
