Like title says I have the following available:

r160 with 3.90 RP already installed **sold**
all 4 axles(front right has tear on inner boot show in pic)
rear hubs w/ wrx brakes and stainless brake lines
all 4 axle nuts
misc hardware

would like to sell everything together. would be perfect for someone w/ an rs that wants to swap. everything worked perfect when i took it out( i swapped to sti components) drive train had approx 100k on it beside rear diff(has abbout 30k). like i said everything was in perfect working order. rear diff had royal purple in it.

would like to sell together and i can ship without a problem. not sure how much everything would usually go for so lets start out at $750/obo. if thats not fair then let me know, open to offers.

Are you sure that's a 3.90 diff? It should be 3.54 if it's from a WRX.

 

positive its a 3.90. i have an 05 sti transmission in my car so the guy before me had no choice but to change it to 3.90

 

Okay. It's not a WRX diff then, it's probably from a 5 speed 2.2 liter Impreza. But, he could also have swapped in the stock viscous differential.

 

i cant remember what he said it was from. the housing and everything else is the same, but i THINK the rear diff "guts" he bought new from hb speed in so cal

Most likely scenario is that the ring and pinion were swapped.

I'm confused... I thought pre-06 WRX's had a final drive of 3.9 and 06+ had 3.7 final drive. Or are you guys talking about something else?

 

Older WRXs had a 1.1:1 center and 3.54:1 rear, which is effectively a 3.90.
