FS: [SOLD]Norcal/Bay Area: 2006 SGM WRX Wagon 5MT, 60k miles, MOSTLY STOCK![SOLD]
Unfortunately the time has come to sell my beloved 2006 WRX Wagon. I've decided to try and buy a house, so I need to consolidate some debt, and I need a better commuter.
I purchased this car back in April 2014 from Livermore Subaru. It was a one owner vehicle whom only had it maintained it at Livermore Subaru. It became my daily driver since my other 'project' car was having issues. I purchased it with 50,470 miles, and have put 10k miles in two years; it's currently at 60,4xx miles. My daily commute to work for those two years was 4 miles round trip, with the occasional trip to Sacramento for family gatherings, hence the low mileage. I've never raced, or launched it, or even red lined it... totally babied this car.
I would love to keep this car due to it's condition, and history however my commute has changed from 4 miles round trip, to 80 miles round trip, and may go up depending on where I find a home. Bay Area is too expensive now...
I'm currently using my girlfriend's car to commute to work, so the mileage will not significantly increase. I may take it out on errands just to keep it happy.
Engine: The car is 95% unmolested so it's a great, reliable daily driver. I have not touched the engine [no AP install, intake, etc], only installed a catback which I have since returned back to stock.
Clutch/transmission: Still the stock clutch. Transmission doesn't slip or grind.
Exterior: It's a 9 year old car so it does have some small door dings, and scratches. There's two small rock chips in the windshield. I had both professionally filled so it will not spread, but they're still visable. I just had it PDR'ed so a big majority of them were removed. The hood scoop is faded, like most 06/07 hoodscoops. I do have some SGM spray paint which will be included with the sale. If it doesn't sell soon, I may have it professionally repainted.
Interior: I have installed STi door cards, however the driver's side was damaged during shipping, so it does have some scrapes. I will include the stock door cards as well. There is an Alpine deck, Alpine SPR-60 front speakers, and an OEM Subaru underseat sub installed. I did the install and soldered the wiring, no hack jobs here.
Wheels: Installed some Kosei K1 17x7.5" wheels with 215/45/17 Bridgestone SO-4 tires. The Kosei's are very light weight, and the tires are super sticky (one of my favorites) with tons of thread life left.
Year, Make and Model: 2006 WRX Wagon
Color: Steel Grey Metallic
Miles: 61,1xx
Transmission: Manual
Title: Clear
Lien: Yes, with Wells Fargo
Location: San Mateo, CA
VIN: --
Asking Price: SOLD
Reason for selling: Consolidate debt to purchase a home and longer commute, otherwise I wouldn't sell it!
Trades: I will ONLY consider an 03/04 Java Black Pearl Forester XS (auto or manual), plus cash. I am not interested in any other vehicles, so please do not offer.
I just paid for the registration in January!
Modifications:
Engine:
Exterior:
Interior:
Suspension:
Wheels/Tires:
Others:
As mentioned above, there in a lien on the vehicle. I've never sold a car with a lien on it, but to my knowledge it goes as follows:
Please correct me if I'm wrong. If I do have a serious buyer but would like me to have the title in hand beforehand, I will accept a cash, non refundable deposit, then I will pay off the loan.
Enough text, onto the pictures.

bump.
I'd love to apply for a mortgage sometime in the spring/early summer so I'd like to find it a new home soon. I won't settle for low ball offers though.
With that being said, I will be offering a $200 finder's fee for any i-club member who finds me a buyer.

Thanks, appreciate it! Don't forget to have them mention your user ID =)
Come back to the Bay!
Thanks. I picked it up due to the low mileage and condition. Hopefully I can find someone who'll appreciate it and it's value. All the recent 06/07 GDs that I've seen for sale are 110-150k+ miles, and rarely in wagon form. I wish I could keep it, but I already have a swapped RS, so my turbo needs are met. Plus, I really want to lift an SG5....I mean... a better commuter
I agree about the interior, but the stock cards will be included. I had my Evo 8 Recaros installed, so it didn't clash as much. I was also looking for some 05 black rear wagon seats, but those were too hard to find. I always kept the rear seats folded to get rid of the ugly grey anyways haha.

I'm in the same boat. I want a lifted forester too. LOL!
Been trying to talk Kenley out of his for months.
You'll find someone. Be patient. I'd personally just swap the door panels and sell it with the stock ones. No one is gonna pay extra for it and it's just gonna raise questions to what else was done.
Good luck man. really is a clean wagon.
Side note... mine has 260k on it... seeing ANY true wrx wagon with under 120k is rare as hell.

Very clean car. Yours reminds me of my 06 CGM WRX wagon right down to the Kosei's. (very nice rims, and you could feel the lightness.... my butt dyno could immediately tell the diff every time I swapped my 04STI-BBS's back and forth).

I totally love this car. This is what I wanted to buy brand new but then went and got an R32 and years of regret. As soon as I sell a 2014 Prius that I picked up for my wife, I am going to be looking for pretty much this car or a Limited version.
Looks great and it's nice to see one with such low miles. My Bugeye has 72k miles too and I rarely see WRXs of any kind with such low miles these days.
GLWS!!
