When I picked up the car, I gingerly drove it 3 miles from the dealer back to my work on city streets. Then, at the end of my work day, I had the car towed to my home in PA.

The car is "driveable" but not recommended.

The tranny may be rebuildable but definitely not cost effective to pay the dealer to do it that's why I think a used tranny is the quickest route to having a driveable car. The other "weekend project" would be cracking open the tranny to see if it could be rebuilt. The rear bearing blew apart.
