Loved the one I had on my VF turbo. Makes a BIG difference with letting heat out at a dead stop.

Curious if this only fits stock size turbos? And/or stock TMIC?

(Ive got a 1.5 Dom and Grimmspeed tmic)

I don't see why it wouldn't: both use all stock/factory mounting points.

I had a stock turbo, stock location obviously, and a fatty Perrin top mount. It fit fine.

The shield sits at about the level of the intercooler backet closest to it. You can mock up some cardboard etc to show approximate height.

Unless you have a rotated setup it should be ok though.

Did it make a big difference in performance?

Also it's missing a bolt on one of the mount holes.

Nah, I went with an IAG AOS. Unfortunately they both sit in the same location so it's an either or situation.

I'd imagine that any turbo that still could have a heatshield over it in the stock location would probably still fit fine with this chimney.

I run the JDM STI Intercooler and it fits fine.

If need be, we can probably test fit it to make sure it works on the given setup.

Yes, it definitely made a difference in the performance. When the car has been driving and then you stop and sit, the air rises up out of the chimney and helps prevent heatsoak. When driving it actually allows air to go down through the chimney and help cool the outside of the turbo and push the air down towards the ground, while the air going through the TMIC cools the turbo internally.

This is not from me, but someone else that tested it on their car at the track and pulled their numbers:

"coolant temp dropped 6 deg. oil temp 8 deg.. this is awesome .. was running the car at waterford hills road race. This was put on the car same day at the track so the track temps were close all day.. 92 outside temp."

As for the bolt, not sure what happened to it. If I can find it I'll include it. If not, it really shouldn't make much of a difference since the top portion where you see the rubber seal presses up against the hood forming a decent seal that is pushing it down anyways. You can put a replacement bolt if you want on it. Though I did want to ensure you see exactly what you are getting if you do get it hence the picture showing no bolt there.

Good to know Jello. It wouldn't fit my car since I have an IAG AOS in place.

This is the first i have heard of these....cool.

They are $184.99 new, so maybe the asking is a tad optimistic?
