1997 Impreza Outback Sport 5 speed 2.2l
For sale is my 1997 Impreza outback sport. It is a 5 speed manual 2.2L. The car runs good.The car has newer aftermarket 15 inch wheels with newer tires. Also has year old KYB Gr-2 struts.
The car shows its age inside and out (dented drivers fender, small dent on pass side rear quarter, some tears in the carpet) but besides that it isnt in terrible shape.
The Car has a clean title and current registration. 190k miles
Main Issue
The big problem with the car is it needs a new transmission. It currently can drive around but it doesn't go into 4th and begins to smoke after small amounts of driving. Seems to be a loose bearing in the trans.
leaks oil from the valve covers
paint and body could use work. Or just use as a beater
(transmission can be found for under $500 even cheaper if you choose pick n pull)

Sorry not interested in trades, unless you have a cheap wrx.
I first thought the smoking was from the trans but it seems to be from the valve covers or rear main.
