Coils or lowering springs?
I have a pretty much stock 05 wrx hatch and I'm stuck in the middle suspension wise. Coils or lowering springs? I'm 17 and I'm not making that much money so I don't know if it's worth the money to get coils. Thanks for the help!

I wish I could have had a 10 year old WRX when I was 17. Then again the Impreza platform was only 5 at the time and all the good ones were still limited to overseas.

Coils are worth the $, but not if you don't have much... It sounds like you're goals aren't too specific. Just get springs and struts like tokico dspecs, will be cheaper than coils. I wouldn't just do springs on the stock struts, but if all you want is 1.5" lower, then any lowering spring will work. If you're tight on cash, coils aren't the way to go. Get some sti sways on there too. Search on here, there's a lot of threads discussing your options.

What was asked is what do you plan to use your car for? Are you simply going for looks and impressing high school friends (which is what your answer comes off as) regardless of consequences? Or do you have intentions of pushing your car, learning about higher performance driving and may be getting auto crossing, tracking, etc?
Just know that if not done correctly and/or on the cheap, said lowering might actually result in negative impact to performance, comfort and even be dangerous when you do decide to go fast.
Iknowright?! As my first car, I have to content with a 12+ year old beat to death Ford minivan handed down from my relatives
