Albino STi in San Jose, CA
Hey hey!
Brought my subie out with me from Colorado a year ago and have been trying to find some dirt to play in ever since... But it doesn't look like the Bay Area likes to leave any road un-paved. Some good twisties around, but nothing nearly slippery enough.
Figured I'd chime in here, introduce myself and hope for some good suggestions!
If you see my ALWAYS dirty GR in SJ or SF, wave, swing by, say hi!

Welcome!
Like vtech said, up north is where you shall find your said roads. Corning, Shasta, Redding, and my personal favorite for getting dirty is the city called Weed. Excellent fire trails, and some super epic old logging roads with sexy, groomed, rockless red dirt
Look at my previous thread i created titled "my epic weekend in shasta" there are plenty of pics of me on the trails i speak of.
Have fun, and again, welcome

Welcome to the club! Nice to see people not afraid to get subbies dirty!
I am not sure if they are still accepting applications but check this out.

Volkey, looks like you're doing it right man. That's exactly what i'm talking about. Girlfriend has been hassling me to get up to Shasta, so looks like she'll get her wish and i'll get mine. Some of those shots with the soft road through a bit of meadow look great. Get a little loose with no one around and no trees to hit!
